There is no binding dresscode, you can come as you are, but we advise to dress up:
black tie, burlesque, pinup, glamour, rock n roll, dandy, cabaret, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, chique, circus, drag...
You can't be overdressed ;-)

The Amsterdam Burlesque Award - 17-20 november 2016: Thursday - Boylesque Night - Crowning the first Amsterdam King of Boylesque - Boylesque is the same as burlesque, simply that it is performed by a man instead of a woman. Far from being just about strippers clad in silver glittering nipple tassels and spangly jock-straps, male burlesque performers, j ust like burlesque performers, aren’t just about the stripping. Although the removal of clothing and the tease are elements of it, many other stage and entertainment skills are required. Boylesquers, just like professional burlesque performers, are also trained (not to say extremely talented) musicians, singers, hoofers, magicians, fire-eaters, jugglers, comics, mimes, trapeze artists and so on... Friday Neo Burlesque and Comedy Burlesque Night - crowning the first Amsterdam Queen of Neo Burlesque - Neo Burlesque and Comedy Burlesque are based on the traditional Burlesque art, but this form encompasses a wider range of performance styles; Neo-burlesque acts can be anything from modern dance to theatrical mini-dramas to comedic mayhem. It can be freaky, bizarre, funny, weird, ridiculous, with sideshow elements and everything you can imagine... Saturday - Classic Burlesque Night and crowning the first Amsterdam Queen of Classic Burlesque - Burlesque is the style reminiscent of the the glamorous Burlesque Showgirls from the Golden age of American Burlesque. The girls who entertained the Burlesque theaters with their Va Va Voom stage shows. Classic Hollywood glamour, Las Vegas showgirl sparkle, Paris Moulin Rouge feeling...The Original peelers, who entertained an audience with dazzling costumes, exotic bump and grind, signature moves and true understanding of the Art of the Tease. Sunday Matinée Burlesque Showcase - no competition on Sunday, but a great Burlesqueshowcase and the official Amsterdam Burlesque Award closingsparty!
